1. About These Terms
These Terms of Use set forth the conditions for using Crisp (cookwithcrisp.app, hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). Contact with the operator is accepted via the Contact Us page. If you use any features that require an account, please review these Terms and agree to them before using the Service. The handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
2. Service Details and Fees
This service offers recipe searches by model, AI-powered recipe creation and cooking advice, the ability to save favorites and devices, and the option to share cooking logs, consultations, replies, and your profile.
The service is currently free of charge. If paid features are added in the future, we will display the fees and terms in advance and will charge users only if they sign up for the service. Users are responsible for any data charges or costs associated with cooking.
3. Accounts and Usage Limits
Please use an email address that you personally have access to when logging in, and do not share your verification code with third parties. Impersonating others or unauthorized access is prohibited. Minors should obtain consent from a legal guardian or other authorized representative, as necessary, before using this service.
Each 1 account can generate up to 3 AI recipes in 1 day, based on Japan time. Failed checks or failures after processing starts may count toward the limit, as explained on screen. AI features may be temporarily paused before you reach your limit because of the overall site AI budget, traffic, maintenance, or safety. Bypassing limits with multiple accounts or other methods is prohibited.
4. The Role of Recipes and AI
Each page displays the compatible models, source of information, and details regarding AI-generated or verified content. AI-based verification differs from actual cooking on the appliance or human verification. Recipes that have not been tested on the actual appliance, as well as users’ cooking logs, may contain errors or information that does not apply to specific cooking environments.
AI responses and the appearance of photos alone cannot determine the internal temperature, allergen content, or safety of food. This service is not a substitute for medical dietary advice or safety verification by manufacturers. The display of manufacturer and product names is for reference purposes only and does not imply any partnership or endorsement by the manufacturer unless otherwise specified.
5. Things to Check While Cooking
Check the model number, region of sale, capacity, and modes of the product you are using, and always follow the instructions in the user manual for that specific model, as well as the manufacturer’s precautions and food labeling. Avoid applying settings intended for different models, exceeding the capacity, or using unsuitable containers or accessories.
Cooking results may vary depending on the quantity, thickness, and initial temperature of the food. For meats and similar items, use a food thermometer to verify that they are cooked thoroughly. If you suspect the food is undercooked, do not eat it; cook it further. Check the labels on ingredients and processed foods for allergens. If you suspect a malfunction, smoke, or fire, stop cooking and using the chat feature, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Posting and Visibility Settings
Please verify that you possess the necessary rights to post any text or photos, and that you have obtained consent from yourself and any individuals depicted in the photos. Do not inadvertently disclose the addresses, contact information, or authentication details of yourself or third parties.
Records and consultations are saved within the selected privacy settings. Replies to public posts and public profiles are visible to other users. When using the AI recipe generator, if you confirm and execute the action on the screen, the generated recipe will be posted to the sharing page. The full history of your chat entries and photos will not be automatically published as-is.
7. Rights to Post and License
If a post is subject to copyright or other rights, those rights remain with the poster or the original rights holder. The poster grants the operator a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the post to the extent necessary for storage, display, distribution, search, reply notifications, reuse of cooking conditions, and safety management, in accordance with the selected privacy settings.
We may resize, convert, or excerpt images as necessary for display, but we will not unduly alter the intent of your post. We will allow third-party service providers to process such content only to the extent necessary to achieve these purposes. This provision does not constitute a transfer of rights to your posts, consent to their use as advertising material outside the service, or blanket consent for training general-purpose AI.
The copyright status of AI-generated content and any third-party rights vary by case. Exclusive rights and freedom from infringement are not guaranteed across all cases.
8. Editing, Deletion, and Account Closure
You can edit, hide, or delete your own records and inquiries directly on the screen, and you can also delete replies. For actions that cannot be performed on the screen—such as deleting public recipes or closing your account—please submit a request via the Contact Us page. If identity verification is required, we will verify your identity to the extent necessary.
We will cease any new public use of content that has been deleted or made private. However, we may retain information on a limited basis, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, as necessary for compliance with laws and regulations, investigations into unauthorized use, and backup management. The operator may not be able to immediately remove copies saved by third parties or results displayed by search engines while the content was publicly available.
9. Prohibited Actions
The following actions are prohibited: violations of laws and regulations; infringement of others’ rights; harassment, discrimination, or threats; unauthorized disclosure of personal information; false claims regarding cooking results or ratings; intentional dissemination of dangerous cooking methods; spam or excessive commercial advertising; unauthorized access; access that causes excessive load; circumvention of usage restrictions; and any actions that interfere with the operation of this service. This does not prevent normal criticism or the sharing of failures.
10. Reporting and Administrative Responses
If you encounter any rights infringements or safety concerns, please contact us via the report button or the contact page. The site administrators will review the content and take appropriate action—such as restricting visibility, removing posts, or limiting access—as necessary, depending on the severity of the violation, its urgency, and whether it is a recurring issue.
Except in emergencies or similar circumstances, we will provide an explanation of the reason and the action taken to the extent possible. If you have any objections to our response or would like further clarification, please contact us via the Contact Us page. We do not have a system in place to pre-screen all posts, and reports do not automatically result in removal.
11. Changes, Interruptions, and Termination of the Service
We may modify or suspend all or part of the service due to maintenance, system failures, the suspension of external services, safety measures, or other unavoidable circumstances. For planned major changes or service termination, we will endeavor to provide advance notice within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the potential impact. In the event of an emergency suspension, notice may be provided after the fact.
12. Liability
The operator strives to identify any inaccuracies in the information or safety issues and will take appropriate measures, such as corrections or suspension of publication, as necessary. These Terms of Use do not uniformly exempt the operator from legal liability for breach of contract or tort. Liability for damages and other responsibilities shall be governed by the Consumer Contract Act, the Civil Code, and other applicable laws and regulations.
13. Changes to the Terms of Service
The operator may amend these Terms in accordance with the Civil Code provisions on changes to standard terms when the changes serve users’ general interests, or when they do not conflict with the purpose of the agreement and are reasonable in light of their necessity, appropriateness, and other circumstances. The changes and their effective date will be announced on this service in advance. Individual consent will be obtained for changes that require it by law.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by Japanese law. In the event of any questions or disputes, we will first attempt to resolve them through consultation via our customer support channel. Should litigation become necessary, the court of competent jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Even if any part of these Terms of Service is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent they do not conflict with applicable laws and regulations.
