1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Crisp website (cookwithcrisp.app) and mobile apps for iOS and Android (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) provided by 阮 念武 (hereinafter referred to as “the Operator”). Contact with the Operator is accepted via the Contact Us page. When using features that require an account, please review these Terms of Use and agree to them before proceeding. The handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.

2. Service Details and Fees

The website offers features such as searching for recipes by model, AI-powered recipe creation and cooking advice, saving favorites and devices, sharing cooking logs, consultations, replies, and profiles, as well as account linking via the corresponding AI agent (MCP client).

The same terms of use apply to the mobile app as to the web version. In addition, the app allows you to search for and view 80 included recipes, save them offline on your device, and use a cooking timer. Offline saves are managed through the app or OS features, separate from your account favorites.

Searching for recipes, viewing ingredients, and reading full instructions is free. On the web version, Crisp Plus automatically renews for 980 yen per month or 9,800 yen per year (tax included, paid annually in a lump sum), providing 40 credits per month and ad-free browsing. Once the AI agent integration is publicly available, it will also allow you to save meal plans. An additional 20 credits can be purchased for a 1-time fee of 500 yen (tax included); these credits have no expiration date and do not auto-renew. Purchases are processed after we receive your request and confirm payment via Stripe. There are no charges for using the free features; however, users are responsible for any data charges or costs associated with cooking.

AI Agent Integration is a feature that allows users to grant access to their account—within the scope confirmed on the permission screen—to AI agents or other apps of their choice. Based on the user’s instructions, these agents can search for and view recipes, access device information, view “My Devices” and “Favorites,” and suggest, save, and view meal plans. Users decide whether to grant permission for the connection and can revoke it at any time from their My Page. The terms of use, fees, and privacy policies of the connected apps are governed by the respective app providers. AI Agent Integration is available to users in Japan.

3. Accounts and Usage Limits

Please use an email address that you personally have access to when logging in, and do not share your verification code with third parties. Impersonation of others and unauthorized access are strictly prohibited. Minors must obtain consent from a legal guardian or other authorized representative, as necessary, before using this service. Do not share or transfer authentication information (such as tokens) issued through integration with AI agents with third parties, nor allow anyone other than the authorized user to use it for access. Automated access to this service is permitted only within the scope authorized by the user via the permission screen and based on the user’s instructions.

Each 1 account can generate up to 3 AI recipes in 1 day, based on Japan time. Failed checks or failures after processing starts may count toward the limit, as explained on screen. AI features may be temporarily paused before you reach your limit because of the overall site AI budget, traffic, maintenance, or safety. Bypassing limits with multiple accounts or other methods is prohibited.

Accounts covered by the credit system receive an initial 10 credits. Starting the following month, 5 credits are added on the 1st of each month in Japan Standard Time, up to a maximum free balance of 10. Monthly free grants pause during Plus membership. Both monthly and annual Plus plans receive 40 credits each month based on the subscription start date. In shorter months, the grant date is adjusted to the last day of that month. Unused monthly credits expire at the next monthly grant. Purchased credits and the existing free balance remain after Plus ends.

New recipes use 10 credits only after successful generation, translation, review, and saving as a published recipe. Each 1 successfully delivered AI cooking reply uses 1 credit, including replies with photos and clarifying questions from the AI. Fixed guidance, safety information, and form input are free. The required credits are reserved when processing begins. If delivery fails, those credits are not consumed and are returned. Credits returned after a failure that crosses their expiry remain available for 7 days from the return. When the outcome is unknown, the request remains in progress and the same request is checked.

You can stop Plus auto-renewal in Subscription Management on your My Page. After auto-renewal is stopped, ad-free access and monthly credit grants continue until the end of the paid period. Changes between monthly and annual plans take effect at the next renewal. We do not automatically recharge your balance or charge on a pay-as-you-go basis beyond it. We do not automatically return credits because you dislike a result that was correctly provided. This does not limit any rights granted by law.

There are no prorated refunds for early cancellation of the Plus plan. Additional credits are non-refundable for personal reasons. Exceptions include duplicate charges, service failures, and refunds required by law. Please contact customer support for refund inquiries.

4. The Role of Recipes and AI

Each page displays the compatible models, source of information, and details regarding AI-generated or verified content. AI-based verification differs from actual cooking on the appliance or human verification. Recipes that have not been tested on the actual appliance, as well as users’ cooking logs, may contain errors or information that does not apply to specific cooking environments.

AI responses and the appearance of photos alone cannot determine the internal temperature, allergen content, or safety of food. This service is not a substitute for medical dietary advice or safety verification by manufacturers. The display of manufacturer and product names is for reference purposes only and does not imply any partnership or endorsement by the manufacturer unless otherwise specified.

When integrated with an AI agent, information from this service will be displayed on the screen of the connected app. The operator cannot guarantee the content or method of display in the connected app, nor the accuracy of the app’s responses. If the content displayed in the connected app differs from that displayed by this service, please give priority to the display on this service.

5. Things to Check While Cooking

Check the model number, region of sale, capacity, and modes of the product you are using, and always follow the instructions in the user manual for that specific model, as well as the manufacturer’s precautions and food labeling. Avoid applying settings intended for different models, exceeding the capacity, or using unsuitable containers or accessories.

Cooking results may vary depending on the quantity, thickness, and initial temperature of the food. For meats and similar items, use a food thermometer to verify that they are cooked thoroughly. If you suspect the food is undercooked, do not eat it; cook it further. Check the labels on ingredients and processed foods for allergens. If you suspect a malfunction, smoke, or fire, stop cooking and using the chat feature, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

The timer in the mobile app is an auxiliary feature designed to notify you of the cooking time; it does not control or stop the heating of the air fryer itself. Notification sounds and the time they appear may be affected by your device’s notification settings, silent mode, Focus Mode, power-saving mode, and other settings. Do not assume the dish is ready based solely on notifications or the passage of time; please check the results according to the recipe and the device’s safety instructions.

6. Posting and Visibility Settings

Please verify that you possess the necessary rights to post any text or photos, and that you have obtained consent from yourself and any individuals depicted in the photos. Do not inadvertently disclose the addresses, contact information, or authentication details of yourself or third parties.

Records and consultations are saved within the selected privacy settings. Replies to public posts and public profiles are visible to other users. When using the AI recipe generator, if you confirm and execute the action on the screen, the generated recipe will be posted to the sharing page. The full history of your chat entries and photos will not be automatically published as-is.

7. Rights to Post and License

If a post is subject to copyright or other rights, those rights remain with the poster or the original rights holder. The poster grants the operator a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the post to the extent necessary for storage, display, distribution, search, reply notifications, reuse of cooking conditions, and safety management, in accordance with the selected privacy settings.

We may resize, convert, or excerpt images as necessary for display, but we will not unduly alter the intent of your post. We will allow third-party service providers to process such content only to the extent necessary to achieve these purposes. This provision does not constitute a transfer of rights to your posts, consent to their use as advertising material outside the service, or blanket consent for training general-purpose AI.

The copyright status of AI-generated content and any third-party rights vary by case. Exclusive rights and freedom from infringement are not guaranteed across all cases.

8. Editing, Deletion, and Account Closure

You can edit, make private, or delete your own posts and questions, and delete your replies, through the site. If you have not started the payment process, you can delete your account from account settings after email verification. If you have started the payment process, contact us to request account deletion—even if you have not made a purchase—so we can review your subscription, credit balance, and any refund matters. Deleting your account and stopping Plus renewal are separate steps.

When you delete your account, we will tell you the balance of any unused purchased credits and that they will no longer be usable after deletion. We will expire that balance only after confirming your consent. This does not limit any refund rights required by law.

We will cease any new public use of content that has been deleted or made private. However, we may retain information on a limited basis, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, as necessary for compliance with laws and regulations, investigations into unauthorized use, and backup management. The operator may not be able to immediately remove copies saved by third parties or results displayed by search engines while the content was publicly available.

9. Prohibited Actions

Violations of laws and regulations, infringement of others’ rights, harassment, discrimination, or threats, unauthorized disclosure of personal information, false cooking results or reviews, intentional dissemination of dangerous cooking methods, spam or excessive commercial advertising, unauthorized access, access that causes excessive load, circumvention of usage restrictions, sharing or transferring authentication credentials for AI agent integration, automated access exceeding permitted limits, and any actions that interfere with the operation of this service. This does not prevent the sharing of normal criticism or failures.

10. Reporting and Administrative Responses

If you encounter any rights infringements or safety concerns, please contact us via the report button or the contact page. The site administrators will review the content and take appropriate action—such as restricting visibility, removing posts, or limiting access—as necessary, depending on the severity of the violation, its urgency, and whether it is a recurring issue.

Except in emergencies or similar circumstances, we will provide an explanation of the reason and the action taken to the extent possible. If you have any objections to our response or would like further clarification, please contact us via the Contact Us page. We do not have a system in place to pre-screen all posts, and reports do not automatically result in removal.

11. Changes, Interruptions, and Termination of the Service

We may modify or suspend all or part of the service due to maintenance, system failures, the suspension of external services, safety measures, or other unavoidable circumstances. For planned major changes or service termination, we will endeavor to provide advance notice within a reasonable timeframe, taking into account the potential impact. In the event of an emergency suspension, notice may be provided after the fact.

If the operator discontinues this service, unused purchased credits will be refunded. We will provide advance notice regarding eligible balances, refund methods, and the application process. Free credits are not eligible for monetary refunds. Refunds required by law will be handled separately.

12. Liability

The operator strives to identify any inaccuracies in the information or safety issues and will take appropriate measures, such as corrections or suspension of publication, as necessary. These Terms of Use do not uniformly exempt the operator from legal liability for breach of contract or tort. Liability for damages and other responsibilities shall be governed by the Consumer Contract Act, the Civil Code, and other applicable laws and regulations.

13. Changes to the Terms of Service

The operator may amend these Terms in accordance with the Civil Code provisions on changes to standard terms when the changes serve users’ general interests, or when they do not conflict with the purpose of the agreement and are reasonable in light of their necessity, appropriateness, and other circumstances. The changes and their effective date will be announced on this service in advance. Individual consent will be obtained for changes that require it by law.

Revised 2026-10-20 (effective 2026-11-19; for users who allow an AI agent integration connection on the permission screen, it applies from the time they allow it): We have added information regarding AI agent integration (MCP), including service details, Crisp Plus features, the handling of authentication information, display in connected apps, and prohibited actions.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by Japanese law. In the event of any questions or disputes, we will first attempt to resolve them through consultation via our customer support channel. Should litigation become necessary, the court of competent jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Even if any part of these Terms of Service is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the extent they do not conflict with applicable laws and regulations.
