Flat-cut chicken thighs are coated in potato starch and cooked, then topped with a ginger and green onion sauce. The ingredient ratios, settings, and texture are based on a prototype recipe that has not been tested on an actual air fryer.

Flip after 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, check to see if the center temperature remains at 75℃ or higher for 1 continuous minute.

This is the cooking time for the first round. Please refer to the instructions for preheating. You’ll need to check for doneness and cook further as needed.

First, prepare the seasoned sauce, then cut the meat and coat it. The total time, including prep, cooking in batches, and measurement, has not been measured.

Check Before Cooking
  • Cut 320g of chicken thigh meat into 4 pieces of approximately 80g each, then slice open the thicker parts of the meat so they are no more than 20mm thick. Arrange them flat with the skin side up.
  • Start with meat that is refrigerated, without preheating the air fryer. Cooking times for frozen meat, ingredients of varying quantities or thicknesses, or different air fryer models have not been verified.
  • Cook in a single layer with space between items, avoiding overcrowding. Separate any items that do not fit in a single layer, and for each batch, follow the initial settings and check the core temperature. From batch 2 onward, the interior is already warm, so results may differ. Do not convert capacity to weight, and do not extend cooking time proportionally to the amount of meat.
  • The device is designed to automatically turn off if it remains paused for approximately 10 minutes. When resuming, check the remaining time and mode; do not simply add the full initial cooking time again.
  • Do not use the appliance continuously for 180 minutes or longer, including when additional cooking or cooking in batches. If you notice any unusual odors or abnormal smoke, stop operation immediately and follow the instructions in the user manual.

  1. 01

    Mix the flavored sauce first

Finely chop 30g of green onions and 6g of ginger. In a small bowl, dissolve 7g of sugar in 10g of water, 16g of rice vinegar, and 12g of soy sauce, then add the green onions, ginger, and 3g of sesame oil. Place the mixture away from raw meat, cover it, and refrigerate.

  2. 02

Slice open the meat and apply the coating

Do not wash the raw meat; pat the surface dry with paper towels. Wash your hands, the knife, and the cutting board after handling the raw meat, and keep them separate from utensils used for cooked food. Remove the paper towels and do not place them inside the air fryer. Cut the chicken thigh into 4 pieces of approximately 80g each, and slice open each piece so that the thickest part is no more than 20mm. Sprinkle with 2g of salt, then lightly coat with 25g of potato starch, shaking off any excess. Divide 7g of rice bran oil among the pieces and brush a thin layer onto each surface.

  3. 03

    Arrange in a single layer

Attach the inner rack to the basket in the correct orientation. Arrange the ingredients in a single layer without stacking them, leaving space between each piece. If everything does not fit, divide the batch into 2 or more portions and refrigerate the remaining portions. Do not line the basket with paper or foil, and do not block the steam vents. Do not fill beyond the MAX line.

    Air Oven: Start at 185℃

Do not preheat; simply place the basket with the ingredients inside. Set the Air Oven to 185℃ for 20 minutes as an initial test and start the cycle. After 10 minutes, press START/STOP to pause, then carefully pull out the basket, being mindful of the hot steam. Flip the food, switch its position front to back, return the basket to the appliance, and resume cooking. The display indicating the end of the cooking time does not guarantee that the food is fully cooked.

Measure the core temperature and holding time

After 20 minutes, confirm that cooking has paused or ended, then pull out the basket. Insert a thermometer into the thickest part of each of the 4 pieces of meat from the side to measure the internal temperature. Use a food-grade internal thermometer to confirm that the internal temperature remains at 75℃ or higher for at least 1 continuous minute. Wait until the reading stabilizes before measuring the holding time; if the temperature drops below 75℃ during this period, reheat the meat and measure again. Do not judge doneness based on color, juices, or only 1 temperature reading. Remove the thermometer before reheating, and wash any parts that have come into contact with uncooked meat before reusing the thermometer.

Cook further as needed and finish

If the temperature or holding time is insufficient, set the Air Oven to 185℃ for 5 minutes and cook for an additional period. After approximately 2〜3 minutes, stop the cycle manually and reconfirm that the same core temperature is reached and that the food has been held for a continuous 1 minute. Repeat this check as necessary. The 2〜3 minutes is neither the time to set on the appliance nor a guarantee that the dish is fully cooked. Once the conditions are met, cut the food into bite-sized pieces on a clean cutting board, arrange it on a plate, and drizzle with the flavored sauce. Do not use any sauce or utensils that have come into contact with raw meat for the final preparation.

Check the results

Use a thermometer to confirm that the center temperature remains at 75℃ or higher for at least 1 continuous minute; once this condition is met, the dish is considered done. After meeting this condition, cut the food into bite-sized pieces on a clean cutting board, arrange it on a plate, and drizzle with the flavorful sauce. Do not use any sauce or utensils that have come into contact with raw meat for the final preparation. The initial cooking time setting does not guarantee the final cooking time.

If you get stuck along the way

The back side of the larger surface gets damp

When flipping the meat, rotate the front and back pieces and leave space between them. Next time, divide the meat into portions that can be laid out flat.

The batter is heavy due to the moisture in the scallion sauce

Do not pour all of the sauce at once; use it little by little as you eat. Since heating the food further with the sauce still inside creates different conditions, make sure to check the cooking progress first.

How the Recipes Were Created and Sources Consulted

These are original recipes created using AI on Crisp. They are not listed as official manufacturer recipes or recipes that have been verified using actual devices.

Standards verified in official documents
Approx. 400g / Air Oven / 185℃ / 15〜18 minutes. This table does not specify the cut, thickness, initial temperature, or ingredient ratios.
Independently designed details and unverified points
The official instructions do not specify how to cut the ingredients. This recipe divides 320g into 4 80g pieces and independently establishes the conditions—including checking the results after the first 20 minutes—and the seasoning sauce ratio. The ingredient ratios, shape, mid-cooking checks, and temperature-based assessment are all part of the original design by Crisp. The initial settings have not been verified on an actual device, and we do not guarantee results identical to those of the official instructions.

The manual states that a short press of TIME changes the setting by 5 minutes, while its cooking references also include times such as 18 minutes. Since actual device increments are unverified, this page uses initial settings in 5-minute increments and distinguishes them from elapsed checking times. Omitting alcohol is an independent prototype policy.
